Your responsibilities will be to meet with Clients and Prospective Clients to discuss how Rhyme can help them streamline workflow through the integration of Software and Hardware Technology. It will be critical that the selected candidate embrace continuing education to reach and maintain high levels of personal and professional success. Being proficient in Basic Math, Written & Oral Communications and Microsoft Office are required.

IT Services Technician

Rhyme has a 66+ year tradition in the office technology industry and is one of the largest Office Equipment Dealers in Wisconsin, with offices in Green Bay, Janesville, Madison, Milwaukee, Oshkosh, Portage, Richland Center and Wausau.
The IT Services Technician will work alongside engineers to implement, administer, troubleshoot and maintain all components of networks and IT equipment that solve our clients’ business objectives. Desirable traits include: great listening skills, the ability to excel in a team environment, experience with the assembly, diagnosis, repair and upgrade of business desktops, laptops and servers including malware removal and working knowledge of basic wireless networking, cabling, endpoint and server security solutions, desktop and server operating systems.
It will be critical that the selected candidate embrace continuing education to reach and maintain high levels of personal and professional success. Proficiency in basic math, written & oral communications and Microsoft Office are required. Certifications such as Comptia A+, Net+ and MCP are preferred but not required. Associate Degree or 3 years of experience in similar field required.
Duties and knowledge include:
- Setup, install, troubleshoot, upgrade, repair, and administer
- Business Desktops, Laptops, and Server computers
- Basic Wireless Networks
- Microsoft Windows XP – Microsoft Windows 7
- Malware identification and removal including manual methods
- Working Knowledge and use of
- Internet Protocol (IP) addressing
- Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP)
- Domain Name System (DNS)
- Server Message Block/ Common Internet File System (SMB/CIFS)
- Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks (RAID)
- Common PC diagnostic tools
- Command line troubleshooting tools
- Packet capturing tools
- Microsoft Server Operating Systems 2003 – 2008R2 including Small Business Editions
- Microsoft Server Applications including SQL 2000-2005, Exchange 2003-2010, SharePoint Services 2.0 through 2010
- Symantec Endpoint Protection Suites, Backup Exec and System Recovery
- Trend Micro Worry Free Business Security Editions
