DIGITAL MARKETING SPECIALIST

The SEO/Digital Marketing Specialist is a curious, analytical person who understands how keywords and content can impact the performance of a website. This person should have a strong understanding of both the SEO side (i.e. organic search, brand loyalty strategies, content-driven traffic) and the SEM side (CPC, sales/leads focused, immediate results) of building strategy & driving traffic.

The Specialist is responsible for reviewing, analyzing and implementing both SEO and SEM strategies that optimize Rhyme’s site(s) by working with our Marketing Manager to develop and create content that include keywords or phrases that increase traffic across all search engines and social platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with Marketing Manager to develop and utilize copywriting in the company’s voice, using keywords and phrases that support strategies
  • Work with marketing team to drive SEO in content creation, curation, and content programming
  • Optimize website content, including landing pages, blog posts, and product descriptions, for improved search engine visibility and user experience
  • Performing ongoing, regular keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities
  • Researching and implementing content recommendations for organic SEO success
  • Execute tests, collect and analyze data and results, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns
  • Track, report, and analyze website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns
  • Manage campaigns expenses and budgets, reconciling discrepancies with search engines and platforms
  • Research and analyze competitor advertising, social engagement, and web traffic
  • Develop and implement link building strategy
  • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords
  • Generate regular SEO performance reports and provide actionable insights to improve campaign effectiveness
  • Regularly present reports on ad performance and all paid campaigns to Marketing Manager

EXPERIENCE:

  • 4 year degree from accredited college or university, emphasis in Digital Marketing, SEO, or SEM.
  • 1-3 years of work experience in similar role
  • Skills include:
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads) are a plus
    • In-depth knowledge of SEO principles, techniques, and tools (e.g., Moz, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog)
    • Proficiency in web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console
    • Experience managing PPC campaigns on platforms such as Google Ads and Bing Ads
    • Experience with bid management tools (i.e. Click Equations, Marin, Kenshoo, Search Ignite)
    • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
    • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
    • Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
    • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive actionable insights.

  • TBD, 30-40 hours per week.
