CMYK Samples

In a constantly evolving market, finding ways to grow and remain profitable as a printing service can be challenging. Consumable costs remain high while customers expect lower prices which drives profit margins down. It’s because of this, that printing service companies are looking for new creative ways to stand out and bump their margins back up, and one such method is through using the Xerox® Adaptive CMYK+ Kit.

What is CMYK?

In order to better understand what the Adaptive CMYK+ Kit is, it’s important to first understand what CMYK is. CMYK stands for cyan, yellow, magenta, and black, which are the colors that a printer uses or combines to create all colors. Printing services utilize CMYK in tandem with printing software to create vibrant colors and color profiles on all different kinds of media, and the Xerox® Adaptive CMYK+ Kit takes this to the next level.

What is the Xerox® Adaptive CMYK+ Kit?

The Xerox® Adaptive CMYK+ Kit extends the color palettes of compatible devices to over a million colors by utilizing 11 new toners. The added colors can be metallic, bold, and fluorescent, which means there are a tremendous number of ways you can utilize them to make all sorts of jobs stand out and look brilliant. However, you do need a compatible device to take advantage of this kit, and currently the only devices are the Xerox® Versant® 180/280, or the Xerox® PrimeLink® C9065/C9070. The best part about this is that if you already have one of these devices you can utilize the Adaptive CMYK+ Kit without having to get a new device.

The Adaptive CMYK+ Kit brings many different capabilities to print jobs. Images can shine or glow and realistic metallic accents can be printed on media. There are now new ways to make images or text pop on printed materials, which gives your print service an advantage over others.

How Does the Adaptive CMYK+ Kit Work?

The Xerox® Adaptive CMYK+ Kit is simple to use and takes little time to set up. You simply swap out the current toner kit and replace it with one of two CMYK+ kits. The Vivid Kit includes a versatile white toner, metallic gold and silver toners, and a clear toner, and the Fluorescent Kit includes fluorescent cyan, magenta, and yellow toners. The whole process takes around ten minutes, ensuring that there is little downtime between print jobs.

Even more interesting is that you can print a normal CMYK job, switch out the kit to either the Vivid or Fluorescent Kit, and pass the job through again highlighting areas of the print with metallic or fluorescent embellishments, truly making it pop.

What are the Benefits of Using the Xerox® Adaptive CMYK+ Kit?

The Adaptive CMYK+ Kit brings a tremendous number of options to printing services that can truly help them stand out in the marketplace. The expanded kit can help the printing service bring on new jobs, or jobs that are different from what they typically do. This opens up the door for new opportunities and higher profit margins as the quality of the images and prints goes up, and with an immense number of options, print services will be able to take on customers they normally wouldn’t be able to.

Overall, the Xerox® Adaptive CMYK+ Kit can be used in many different ways that benefit printing services and make them stand out above their competition.
